Hayden Sylte - The Trendsetter

Coming from a golfing family and having a father who is a PGA Professional, it’s no wonder Hayden Sylte picked up the game pretty early in her life. "I started playing golf when I was about five years old," she said. Hayden took a liking to golf immediately but decided early on that she did not want to follow her father's path to become a professional golfer because she had other ideas about how to connect her passion for golf with her everyday life. "My favourite things about golf? I love the travelling aspect of it, always meeting new people, and the fact that it's a very family-oriented sport," she describes. "I'm a former model, and now I'm a small business owner." Her business is called ‘On and Off The Course’ and focuses on fragrance.

"Golf is truly a bond we all share, on and off the course. Fragrance is more than a scent; fragrance is an extension of style. It helps us communicate, and it tells stories." Inspiration for Hayden's first fragrance, ‘Dublin Rum’, came during a trip to Ireland in 2019. After playing on one of Dublin's many great golf courses, the aroma of amber, vanilla, and rum struck her while walking through a hotel lobby. "I've worked hard on my first product. It's been a few years in the making, and having it out now for people to enjoy is just a gift." And even for the inconveniences that a golf day may have to offer, Hayden is sure to have something to ease the frustration: "There's also a scented candle in our 'Dublin Rum' portfolio, which is more like a 'if you missed your tee time, just relax at home and light a candle' kind of thing.”
